We all need some encouragement and inspiration! Here's how to get it!

Igniting Creative Inspiration

Let's Light the Fire!

Are you intentional about finding inspiration?

Sometimes, it seems in such short supply.  If you feel like that too, welcome!  We all feel that sometimes.  I’ve discovered that inspiration doesn’t just fall into your lap, it waits for us to find it – sometimes it’s waiting in plain sight!

In our busy world (and whose isn’t?) we have to be intentional about cultivating inspiration and there are several easy ways we can do it.  And as we do, our own creative work accelerates. It’s a priority worth setting.

Inspiration’s roots are found in newness – new experiences, new associations, new ways of thinking, new ways of imagining.  Those new experiences and people can influence and open up possibilities we didn’t see before.  Working with new possibilities brings about new creative motion.   Kind of exciting!

How is this hiding in plain sight?  Well, it doesn’t have to be something exotic and dramatic – it can be right in our backyards or just down the street.  It can be a walk in the woods, listening and seeing with new eyes. It can be a casual conversation.  It can be listening to someone in a completely different discipline that opens a thought to your own creative work!  Seeds of thought and possibility are all around us, when we look for them!  And those are the same seeds that ignite our creativity!

Want some more ideas?  Easy to put into motion today?  You can download Three Things to Do Today that Ignite Creative Thought.  It’s free and I think it will help you!  These 3 things have helped me!  Download it here, and I’ll also send you note of encouragement in your creative pursuits every week!

This is a beautiful idea. I love collecting little bits that have meaning and which bring back memories, but I’d never have thought of doing something like this. I’ve bookmarked this post, and when i get some spare time, going to make one. Thank you!! Mil Orlan Barbour
